La Planta estate is located in the province of Valladolid, Bodegas Arzuaga Navarro have a hold of a privileged situation for vine´s cultivation. La Planta overlooks the Duero river where its vines absorb the sun and humidity necessary for perfect grape maturing.

Soil, climate and a privileged orientation are the cornerstones of the Arzuaga Navarro vineyards.
The geometrical pattern of the vines blends in with a natural landscape of jupiner, holm oak and Mediterranean pine where deer and wild boar roam at their leisure.
The estate is the visible expression of this family´s love for nature.

Its 1,400 hectares are an exceptional extension within the Ribera del Duero D.O. Region.

Founded at the beginning of the 90 by the Arzuaga-Navarro family, the wine cellars named after them, are a fine sample of dedication and passion for land and wine.

Florentino Arzuaga is an enthusiast of the boundless horizons and wide open spaces of Castile where there is still room for nature and wildlife to exist undisturbed.

Here, not far from the silent-running waters of the Duero River, Florentino bought an estate that due to its large size has horizons of its own. Later came the vines, the winery and, finally, the wine. Florentino has sought the red is a wine with structure, elegant, assertive and complex at the same time.

Florentino Arzuaga has the tenacious spirit of an entrepreneur coupled with an aesthetic and perfectionist sensivity.

He is at once modest and soft-spoken, yet has been capable, in a very short time, of placing the red that bears his family name on the most sumptuous wine lists.

The Arzuaga Navarro winery rises near the Duero River, alongside the historical Castilian road that connects Valladolid to Soria. It is a tribute in stone, solid and rustic, reflecting a monastic spirit in its arches and towers and, in its centre, a bell tower crowned by a weather vane. The reassuring sturdiness of the stone exterior and the warmth of elm wood within provide a welcoming atmosphere to prepare the visitor for the experience of these special wines.

The Cellar´s philosophy is to take up a good stance in high range wines, with limited production.
Our aim is to get a market of Crianzas and Reserves.
Grand Reserve will be released when the harvest is exceptional due to the weather and, later on, the wines behaves as such.

The main objective for us is to have a good wine barrel park, therefore we work with the same firm which guarantees us the supply of first quality wood constantly. Another Cellar´s objective is to acquire wooden wine-tanks for a longer maintenance of certain productions. The coupage of the different varieties (Tinto Fino, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot) is carried out when the ageing is already started, in order to look for the best assembly
